Great Beach Shoes – FitKicks
I walk a lot of beaches, for a lot of miles. I really don’t like to wear shoes because the sand always gathers inside and makes it painful and difficult to walk. So, why bother? I kept trying different styles, and then I found them – FitKicks.
Sanibel Sunsets
One of my favorite events is watching the sunset on the beaches of Sanibel or Captiva.
A Gift From The Sea – Broken Junonia
It counts! It’s broken and beat up, but it’s a junonia! Yay!
Rose Murex – My First
I sat for a moment to dig a bit at the Sanibel Causeway when this pop of red color appeared. I wasn’t even sure exactly what it was since I’d never found one before, but it’s a Rose Murex!
Holy Horse Conchs
These five horse conchs are not even thoroughly cleaned yet but look how gorgeous they are! And huge!
A Rainbow of Scallops With Some Jingles
I just love the colors that you can find in scallop shells. All colors, all sizes.
Carrier Love and Prickly Finds
These shells could CARRY me through till next week! See that way cool CARRIER shell? My best one yet! I also spy a tellin, a lace murex, a nice apple murex and a whole lot more.
Fighting Conchs and Foamy Feet
There was a lot of foam on the beach this morning, but it didn’t seem to slow anyone down. The fighting conchs were out in full force.
She’s a fatty and I love her
I found this fat tulip today while shelling on West Gulf Drive. I also found these two colorful lightning whelks.
Mermaid’s Purse and Double Cones
Today had me seeing double! These two alphabet cones are a little worn but for being on the sand, they’re in pretty good shape. And a mermaid’s purse was also found on the low tide line at Turner Beach.
Minis and a Redfish
Good things come in very small packages! Here are some of the mini shells that I found at the Sanibel Lighthouse today.
